Purposes

We use the data we collect to maintain the relationship with our customers and those interested in our services, e.g. to design our newsletter, to further develop our website and adapt it to new needs and to offer you relevant information and services.

Newsletter

As a newsletter subscriber, you store the details of your registration with us, primarily your e-mail address and your preferred language, as well as – if you wish – your surname/first name and your company. You can adjust your profile data or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. We also use our newsletter lists to create custom or lookalike audiences or similar audiences (see below) on platforms such as Facebook or Google. You can refuse this use at any time. To manage newsletter contacts and send the newsletter, we use MailChimp, a service that supports, among other things, the design and target group-oriented addressing of email newsletters. In MailChimp we record the information about our newsletter. MailChimp uses session cookies and pixel tags/web beacons in our emails in order to be able to assign openings and clicks to users. The data is processed directly on the servers of the service. Information about such steps by users (e.g. the duration, sequence and URL of visits and page views, as well as information about the device used, operating system, browser and settings, the approximate location) are also transmitted there. By registering for the newsletter, you agree to this.

Logfiles

When you visit our website and call up pages or content there, you leave information about the type of access, such as your selection of pages (URL), date and time of your visit, the IP address of the device used, information about the device type and its operating system, the browser identification (user agent string). This information is recorded in server logs from our web servers and stored for one year for debugging purposes.

Cookies

Analysis-Tools

We work with contemporary, advanced analysis methods and tools to understand user behavior on our website. This information helps us to continuously develop our offers and to be able to offer targeted, relevant services and information. In principle, we only use data that is anonymous and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the user. In the following we present the analysis services and technologies that we use for such purposes. We will also show you how you can prevent these services from evaluating your usage behavior on our website. Our website uses tools and functions from other providers that are used to collect and statistically process data about the use of the website by users. These findings allow us to offer users of other services on the Internet (such as Google or Facebook) targeted, relevant information and advertising. These include Universal Analytics, AdWords and Click / DoubleClick Floodlight, as well as Google Dynamic Remarketing, Facebook Custom Audiences and Facebook Connect, Twitter Advertising, Optimizely and ActiveCampaign These services use cookies, tags and tracking pixels for the respective purposes. Cookies are small pieces of code loaded onto the user’s device that enable, for example, identification, user settings on a website, management of a session or log-in. In addition, they also allow the recording and evaluation of user visits and interactions in various web services and the transmission of this data to the web server. Tags are short code blocks that are embedded in websites and mobile applications to report to a server whether a user has performed a specific action (e.g. clicked a button). Pixel tags (or web beacons) are tiny image files that are embedded in websites or e-mails and allow conclusions to be drawn about their visit.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is an analysis tool that statistically processes data about the use of our website by users. It sends information about page views and steps taken by users (e.g. the duration, sequence and URL of visits and page views, the page the user came from, as well as information about the device used, operating system, browser and settings and approximate location) to the Servers from Google. It uses cookies and similar means, e.g. so-called tracking pixels, to recognize users and to be able to allocate different steps and visits to them across different devices and sessions, using anonymous features such as random identification numbers. No personal data is transmitted to Google, IP addresses that are used for spatial assignment are “masked” in advance (shortened by certain digits). Google explains further details in its data protection documentation. You can deactivate Google Analytics for your browser using an add-on.
